2017 WOCNCB® ELECTION

Call for Nominations!

Do you have valuable skills and perspectives that could benefit the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB®)? We invite you to consider becoming involved and share your knowledge with other WOCNCB® certificants.

The Board is accepting nominations to fill three positions on the Board of Directors. The position is a four-year term beginning January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2021.  The role of the Board is to transact the general business affairs of the WOCNCB® including the review of bylaws, policies, procedures, finances, contractual relationships and marketing.

Volunteering with the WOCNCB® gives you the opportunity to contribute and expand your expertise and network plus help WOCNCB®:

  • Maintain the WOCNCB® as The Gold Standard for Certification®
  • Turn your passion for your work into action on the national level
  • Ensure the WOCNCB® remains responsive to the goals of its certificants
  • Work with acknowledged experts in WOC nursing
  • Build professional relationships with other specialty nurses

Eligibility Requirements

  • Hold current WOCNCB® credentials
  • Possess skills and attributes required for board governance and strategic planning; i.e., proven leadership skills, project development and implementation skills
  • Proficiency in email and online communications
  • Availability to attend monthly conference calls, webinars, and two face to face meetings a year

The deadline for nomination applications is June 15, 2017.

Prospective volunteers are requested to complete an application located at http://www.wocncb.org/get-involved/nominations-and-elections.  Return your online nomination application no later than June 15, 2017. Nominees will be contacted by the Nominations Committee Chairperson regarding this opportunity. Voting is conducted July 15 through August 15.
